New for 2025: The unparalleled thrill and challenge of Endurance – 6 Hour of Portimão | SUNDAY
GEDLICH Racing’s overall portfolio of series and winter racing weekends grows once more in 2025, as the all-new 6 Hour of Portimão from 31 January to 2 February will create an exciting new platform for GT teams that favour long-distance racing.
With the race of six hours and a careful eligibility criteria focused on the best GT machinery in endurance racing, the 6 Hours of Portimão will be the ideal platform for experienced squadrons competing at the highest levels of global endurance competition, as well as teams taking the first steps into long-distance formats.
Qualifying sessions for the race will take place on Saturday, while the 6 Hour Race itself will be the focus of Sunday. The timetable will be planned to allow for racing into the sunset on the weekend, providing the complete endurance experience for our competitors. In addition to the main event, there will also be high-calibre support categories in the paddock, ensuring a ‘big’ feel to both weekends.
The amateur GT driver gets his money’s worth just as much as the young driver who – by participating in Formula 4 – wants to take his first steps towards racing in the biggest single seater championships globally. In addition, the GT4 class is a perfect platform for aspiring endurance racing stars to put a spotlight on their talent. And, in the Prototype Winter Series, teams and drivers aiming squarely for the world’s premiere endurance events compete and lay down mileage in LMP3 cars, plus P4 and Nova machinery. The GT Winter Series is THE pioneer series for winter racing. Now entering its sixth season, it delivers three fast-paced races per weekend for the fastest and most extreme GT racing cars on the planet. Joined by the GT4 Winter Series, Formula Winter Series, Prototype Winter Series and all-new six-hour races, the overall package delivers racing suitable for upcoming stars, amateurs and professional drivers, as well as a diverse array of high-level racing teams.
